Sygnus Data Communications Ltd has appointed Martin Smyth as Cellular Business Development Manager as part of the company’s drive to expand further into the cellular telecommunications data testing market. Smyth joins the company having gained considerable experience in the cellular telecommunications environment and in particular within UMTS.

Having worked in the cellular industry since the first days of GSM when he was commissioning of GSM base stations and overseeing their installation, and later in sales and marketing roles, Smyth brings an in depth knowledge of the market and customers real requirements.

Commenting on the new appoint, Chris Leggett, the Sales Director said: “Martin brings a wealth of experience to the company and this will help reinforce our further expansion into the cellular test and monitoring market.”
